| Some of you may have seen my cars on Beccas thread in the cars shes "owned" before....heres the full specs of the current cars, Here is my daily ride, a B7 A4 Avant S line with 2.0TDi power. I got the car in Sept 08, as I need something a bit posher than my old pimped mk4golf estate I was using every day, so I went right up market and got me an Audi :geek: when i got the car is was completely stock with the only non oem extra being a parrot hands free kit. It has been speced up from the factory though and was nearly £30k worth of kit new with the main extras being the rare as hens teeth 1/2 leather and Alcantra interoir trim, and it also has the better Symphony head unit with built in 6 CD changer, S line kit, Alu dah inserts, 18" alloys and centre arm rest. this was the car when I picked it up. Since then in the last 11 months I have done the following mods.... - remap by Mike at Motech to 175bhp and 300lbft of torque, - retro fitted the DIS stalk and recoded the computer so I have all the trip computer options etc, - got new projector head lights from germany - belived to be one of only 2 sets in the country, - smoothed the back end completely via all badges removed inc the audi rings and, - Miltek twin exit exhaust system with 100mm tail pipes and a smooth SE bumper insert rather than the shaped S line one, and pained gloss black to highlight the tail pipe trims, - also a B8 rear wiper has been fitted for a smoother look, and a modded blade used. - passat fan washer jets for the front fitted - first to do this and now loads have done it on audi-sport.net  - OEM hidden tow bar fitted so I can use the bike rack and tow the mk1 to track days if I want to, - UK font pressed plates, - I also have a second set of the optional extra 18" wheels in the garage waitng for me to make my mind up what colour I want them refurbing and how, this is how the car looks now... The tail pipes are now perfectly lined up as it bugged me one was very slightly different to the other in those pics... and heres the toy...my Mk1 Golf GTi (He was going to go for the scrappage scheme a short while ago...but he staying now) I got the car in Sept 07, as I sold my classic mini due to it not being fast enough and fancying a change (I had already had 3 other minis....so didnt fancy a 5th, and couldnt see the point in blowing £2k on a race engine) when I got "Boris" he was stock bar a set of FK coil overs and ronal turbo wheels. the interior was mint and it had just had a new engine built and fitted, within a month I had pulled the interior out and replaced it with my FIA cobra monaco S seats, FIA 3" harnesses, and FIA rear cage, there was also a newmans 280deg cam and custom cold air feed to get the 1.8 engine breathing right, and then I went off for my first trackday... over the next year there was lots of updates big and small, but nothing major on the engine front, the main ones being 280mm front brakes from a mk3 VR6, eve more wieght loss with the the interior being fully stripped, no carpets or anything!!! then a few weeks back I chose to pull the engine out as I wasnt happy with my 1/4 mile times of 16.01 at the pod, as I knew that now the handling was sorted with poly bushes etc etc, the engine was the main thing to do...I could either drop on a race head and be up to a 150bhp 1.8 8v, or just go mental... so I went mental! and put in a 2.0 16v 9a engine with a eaton M62 charger and fueling controlled by megasquirt! this took the power from ~125bhp to ~210-220bhp! the current specs are: Engine: 9A 2.0 16v engine modded S2 inlet manifold cosworth injectors on a mk4 fuel rail megasquirt fuel injection ecu Eaton M62 super charger on custom bracket big front mount intercooler mk3 16v throttle windage tray to help control oil frothing Suspension FK coil overs, Polished adjustable front top brace, OMP lower front brace. poly mounts all round Wheels Road wheels: Compomotive MO's 7x15" et35 Interior Fully stripped out, Safety devices rear cage, Cobra Monaco S seats Ricco Racing FIA 3" webbing harnesses Gauges fitted in radio hole. Exterior De-bumpered, Aerial removed, rear wiper removed, Name stickers on the rear side windows. Zender spoiler Plastic windows - going in a few weeks time.. Brakes MK2 16v master cylinder and servo Golf mk3 GTi caliper with spacer brackets G60 280mm discs dot5.1 fluid mk2 rear disc conversion with mk4 calipers grooved discs front and rear yellow stuff pads and these are the lastest pics from the show last weekend... Im looking for some pics from Tatton at the mo as I foolishly didn't take any as i was too busy looking at other folks cars

| Here are some of my old rides - the VAG ones at least, unless you want to see the minis too.... The old daily driver - when I got Hans he was stock, with 169k on the clock and all the toys you could ask for! he ended up on TT 17" rims, lowered 35mm, ABM headlights from the US, pressed plates, and chipped to 145bhp, and he went with 197k on the clock and never once missed a beat!!! that was a damn fine car and didnt look like it had done 60k let alone 200k! I also did up a white mk2 for my little brother which we got for free as it needed a new head gasket and some work, so I fixed it all up got it road worthy, and now my cuz Dean rolls in that as his daily transport, its sat on the deck and rolling on my old rims from the mk1. (im that mad I even fitted the collies at inters in the cam site..) Then my dad has a Avant the same as mine but with a few less toys inside - but he has got the light pack I want to retro fit to mine! and its black....git! There will also be a new ride joing the clan soon too, a lupo / arosa sport, but more news when that arrives... |

| its just a cheap off the shelf gti system, as my cuz wanted the stock gti set up but couldnt afford a fancy stainless set up, so i think it about £60 for the full system, its nothing special but looks ok,
at the end of the month the mk1 will be going for a check up with the guy who mapped it as its still not perfect so god only knows how fast it will be then!!! Im also going to see if i can get some power runs done as I know the 220bhp is a bit optermistic, but it would be nice to know exactly what its making. |

| Been a bit quiet lately as I have been away and been beavering away on the mk1 and my brothers new ride, over the last month the mk1 has had a new intercooler, the plastic windows have been pro tinted and are awaiting time for me to fit them, the bonnet flew up at 60+mph! its had new hinges fitted due to the bonnet coming up and bonnet pins to stop it happening again!!! oh and I went sprinting last weekend!!! the car ran OK, but wasnt lightning fast as the new engine is too peakly for the tight track, so there was either not enough throttle, or a smidge more and it was too much power causing under steer (the lack of lsd showed up some times) the clutch was also shouting at me, and showing me its on the limit, so long as I make sure the pedals fully upbefore standing on the pedal it was ok, but if I wasnt careful it would slip, so the change to 02A gearbox will be happening this winter so I can run a VR clutch with a ABF fly wheel etc to help tame the power. Also some other issues came to light this weekend: the engine valve stem seals are passing oil on the down change when I shift down to high revs, so over winter I will be looking for another 9a engine to freshen up and stick in rather than just rebuilding the one I have as that way the one I have can be built into a monster engine over time. one of the rear wheel bolt threads in the rear discs pulled out, so that will need a new disc on there, annoying but do able. the spare wheel well chose this weekend to show the famour mk1 golf rust hole where the rear valance attaches to the spare weel well, so that will neeed patching too. So the jobs for the winter jobs are: 02A gear box and cable shifter, and clutch set up re do the rear disc new engine for oil probs new radiator for the cooling fit oil cooler rear brake lines with limiters boot floor patched and rear arches done fit the tinted windows which are drying in the lounge and look mint!!!! on the plus side, heres one of the videos from the weekend and I love the sound of the car, as did a load of folk who all said it sounded good with the charger whine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkuGzKuKs6c&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Eclubgti%2Ecom%2Fforum%2Fshowthread%2Ephp%3Ft%3D198831&feature=player_embeddedsee if you can see it cocking itwheel, it was picking it up alot, on the first corner and on the way into the chicane Ill get some more pics up as folks put them up, plus I have a couple of my own to add of the Audi and the mk1 together |

| well in the last few months we have had some huge changes!!!! the girlfriends shed of a KA got written off, and she said she wanted a lupo as her next car...but then settled for an arosa sport we got a brill one, needing a few little jobs like the cat putting back in the system, the lupo rear lights wring up correctly and the steering wheel chnaging for the correct air bag one, but we only paid £3500 for it with 35k on the clock, and it sounds mint with the single box system and a 4-2-1 manifold! the full threads here - http://www.chocolatedubs.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=55also I got my brother a 1.0l mk3 polo, that had again only got 35k on it, but it was a little faded as it had been stood outside unused for 18 months and un washed or loved... but it came with a massive wedge of history and only needs a few bits before its ready for the road, like a major service, 1 cv boot, 4 tyres and a exhaust, thats it! and the bonus is I only paid £200!!!! when I got it - [img] https://2img.net/h/i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff226/snoop_pd/IMG_7115.jpg[/imfg](it was alot worse than it looks, no shine at all and a very whiteish pink colour! 4 days of cutting, waxing and pampering and it looks like this: my bros already de rub stripepd it, and fitted clear indictors, plus theres gt clocks waiting to go in, then its being dropped 70mm and going to be sat on some G60s as I can get them for just over £100 new. his thread is here - http://www.chocolatedubs.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=2BUT it doesnt stop there!!!! my mk1 has been sold!!!! and been replaced by Vince the VRs mk2 golf! we had to take a 9 hour + round trip to kent to get it but it was worth the hassle!!! the main points to note are: 1.8 20vt from a skoda octavia VRS running a K04 turbo plus a few other trick bits, all controlled via a MBE ecu, mapped to 180-ish bhp low boost or 250bhp high boost (and with the new fuel pump fitted and set up again on the rolling road it should be around the 260-270bhp level) 02J 5 speed box running a tdi 5 speed for lower revs and a LSD 295mm 4 pot front brake using seperate bells, VRS 1/2 leather interior g60 arch covers Ebatch ARBs front and rear OZ superturismo wheels, I did plan to take the 1/2 leather seats out, but tbh they are very nice to sit in, look a bit different and the car is mental quick as it is, so theres no need to make it a stripped out racer as tbh its pretty much there already, so this one maybe a bit more of a show car that just happens to be mental quick and good on track. I havent really got any more pics yet apart from the ones that were on that add; Jobs to do are: new bonnet as the one on it is rusty round the front, fit the mk3 fuel tank and get the car remapped for more power, fit the roof lining, sort out the ducting for the air box, and next winter I will prob have the couple little of dents and scratches sprayed over and sorted but for the 2010 summer I wont bother, other than that I will just enjoy it and hopefully do a few track days in 2010, |

| The Arosa is mint, I love it!! the problem Mel the girlfriend has is keeping hold of the keys! the noise it makes is brill hehe
the Mk2 has lasted all of 2 weeks before I have started messing around and adding my own touches...so far to bite the bullet are:
rusty bonnet! - it was worse than thought and was peeling the skin from the frame when crusing on the motorway (I had to make a black tape bra to get me back home from work on the 1 day i took it in!!!!) thats been replaced by a million scene points bonnet in the form of a carbon fibre one which also came with a bra! (picked that one up from Stoke for £190 so pretty chuffed with that)
VRS interior - there wasnt enough support when cornering so thats gone. I have ordered the new interior already, Cobra Monaco S Pro seats in black and another set of Ricco Racing 3" FIA harnesses will be in there too for proper support.
The dash is also having a spruse up, I have got hold of another full dash and centre console that are beening taken round the corner from me to be flocked for the proper motorsport look, (the door cards will also be take round after crimble)
then all thats left to do is change head unit, fit some better speakers up front, get the sub sorted (the cars not being a full stripped out racer its being 1/2 and 1/2 as its damn quick with out chucking every last kg out! plus its quiet enough at the moment so you can actually hear a radio) and sort out the cover from the back of the parcel shelf down to the seat base so I still keep some kind of boot space to hide things.
oh and sort the new rims.... as I want it rolling on white compomove rims like the last one. |

| did we? sorry dude, I didnt recognise you either
the mk2 will be along the same lines as the mk1, but way more refined, and quicker! the cars not being set up for full on bhp, as tbh its at about the limit for front wheel drive but it should be a bit mad on trackdays while still being ok for road use every day in the summer.
cheers for the good words though, if your at spring GTi that will be its first proper outting when its finished, bar a shake down before hand. |

| well I have been a busy boy again! Monday night the 1/2 leather seats went, but before they went I placed my order for the new seats... Cobra Monaco S Pro seats, the 2009 version of my old ones in their new spacer fabric and with a new stiching design, I ordered them in plain black. when I ordered I was told they would be 7 - 10 days before they arrive... well today they turned up!!!! and as an added sexy bonus they sent me ones with white stiching they look the dogs! (the other bonus is that the runners have been changed too on the subframes so they lock better and are easier to slide oh and heres a cheeky pic for you to all drool over fingers crossed the seats should be in the car before christmas, I just need a couple of brackets making and welding in, and the harnesses delivering |
