The rat look originated with the American hot rod scene... the air cooled vw lot just copied...

But the following pull it off perfectly...

The rusty mk1 is a bit poo

That E28 is awesome......if you know the (well documented) story of that car you begin to understand. Same with that baby blue slammed mk1, doesn't it have a red metal flake engine bay and raised turrents?

The whole 'rat' thing like Jon says comes from the Hot Rod scene, it's from the back street tuner guys who built cars to go fast and had no money for fancy paint. Done right and in the right circumstances it's cool.

Too many idiots f***ing up clean cars these days....mk4 Golfs with rusty bonnets are just contrived rubbish for the sake of being 'different'.

yeah the bmw is insane awesome and yeah the story behind it all aswell could do with more camber on the trailer wheels tho lol

yeah the mk1 has had the top mount turrets raised like 2inch or summat like that i believe.
