well iv allways had german cars but i had a fing with an accord,

but after 4 months of ownership and so many taxi jokes i sold it on for a profit and got my self a golf again ,

here it is



plans are to get rims , get coilovers , paint the grill black, get some gti rear lights and a passat rear badge and some cleaning, bar that thats alls im doin as i realy want a mk5 gttdi so iv gotta get saving,

iv already steam cleaned the engine and under side of the car and replaced the front antirollbar bushes and givin it a full service, and replaced the drivers door handle,


but above all it jus feels good to be in a golf again !

Looks like a clean example mate , Good base to start ,and with a few simple mods it will look different overnight.

done a bit too it,

1st up got some bits of a 2.0 gti , i had the interior and wheels ( better then steelies imo )



also had the arm rest and fitted a new catch to it today,



also got a jom front splitter

and ill be hopfully picking some 18's then alls iv got to do is sort som lows out and it will look half decent lol,

allso booked it in for a valet to get the interior clean and machine polish to get rid of the faded paint do ya jus love red cars lol

not feeling the front splitter, much prefer the standard one but its not mine so

looks 100 times better now though to when you had it...

cheers it does look kinda weird in the pics but it looks alot better in real life, and it will look loads better when its a couple of inches close to the tarmac ,

should be pics georges rs4s up tmorrow so im going to go with the black and red and do the spare grill iv got black , and then sort out some lows,

the black and red will contrast nicely will have to have a look at one of the meets...

ill prob fit the tyres to em tmorrow and then ill fit em bit too low tread for my liking lol ,

the lad across the road from me is a mobile valeter he will come to my works to do it, think its about £25 for a valet thats machine polish out side and wet vac inside,

as i said the splitter looks weird in the pic due to the shading in real life it looks like the anni splitter

not updated it in a while so here goes,

fitted my lowering springs but as per usual it had reverse rake so i cut a coil of the fronts and it sits nice and flat now,

and iv removed and sold on the front splitter,

also i had the black rs4 wheels and i didnt realy like the black or the poor spray job they had, so i sent em off to be shot blasted, while they where at the shot blasters, i found some brand new rims on the bay for pennies,

SO i bought them :lol:

next on the list is to replace the rear calipers, paint front and rear red, then if iv got any money left i might look at getting it resprayed get it all one shade o red lol

cheers all ill try get some half decent pics after iv had a go at it witht he megs 3 set and some hd wax,

wheels are jus smiths 5 spokes but there quite concaved lookin so look good and because the spokes go right to the edge of the lip it makes them look bigger than what they are , got them off the bay for mega cheap brand new as well,

well seen as the sun was out on sunday and my lady and me daughter had gone her mums for the day i decided the golf need a long over due clean,

i used mags 3 step then a coat of AG HD wax, then i did the trims in AG plastic trim restorer,





after the pics i removed the grill and mirror covers and sprayed them gloss back and gave them 3 coats of clear so they have a wet look to them,

just got to wait for my rear calipers to come then ill stick 12 months mot on it and get rid lol ,

shame your getting rid mate as it looks super clean in the pics what you looking for next then ?? you going for a bit more power again or staying low and slow??
