What a day -- got the rears fitted, lowered, all looking even.

Then we went for a drive, muchos banging and knocking.

Figured it was the droplinks so shortened them and the it stops a little... But I get a knock when I go over speedbumps (speedbumps and bumps in't road).

I think it's the ARB hitting so my next test will be to remove the droplinks and go for a spin, if it stops I'll need to adjust the droplinks more...

I've never seen a set of coilies before so I don't know whether they're right or not!!!

Should the top mounts be rattling or lose? It could also be these making the noise as I couldn't get the old ones off of the old struts to check what they should be like...

Nightmare!

Any help is, as always, appreciated...

It's going to the garage for a check-over, although I'm still not confident...

I rang and said that yesterday, I had fitted coilover adjustable suspension to my car and his response was something along the lines of "what's that?"...

He also said you you're lowering a car you are going to get bangs... I think he's underestimating the bang that I'm hearing.

Heeeeeeeeeelp scratch

the only way around it is a chassis notch...

Banging coilovers... HPIM3097

it removes the metal your drive shaft is banging into..

Is that because of how low it is? If I make it higher it'll stop?

Hm... May get the grinder out...

I can't believe it's taken this long, it's been two full (9-4) days and it's still not fixed. I have work in the morning, college tomorrow night and placement Wednesday so there's nothing I can do 'til the weekend.... It's going to have to be driven like that.

Taken it to the local garage his verdict; it's too low.

He says it mechanically sound, but I think he's spotted where the ARB used to hit the driveshafts before we adjusted it...

I really really think it's the top mounts as they we rattling with a similar sound when they were off the car.

Anyone know of a local place that has experience of coilovers on dubs that'll look at it?

Cheers
