having a problem with my bora its a 1.9 tdi 115bhp it first started last week i started my car up to warm before i left work but a warning light came on so turned car off and went to start back up and battery died so next morning managed to jump my car with leads and then its ran fine since then got the battery checked out and they said that was fine and that it mite of been a sticky starter motor, then last nite went on a run to birmingham to meet a guy with a car part and then went to start car the same thing happened again does anyone have any ideas was thinkin its either going to be starter or alternator cheers george

sounds like starter or alternator have you tried another battery if your getting the same problem with a new battery then its starter or alternator if not then the battery is not holding charge

will try that yeah suppose its best to try cheapest first
only done it twice tho in two weeks and got a good run out when it went to brum and back

could be a dodgy earth or connector have a dig about do you know an auto electrician who can test it fior you
