Long story replaced cylinder head due to being cracked. Vacuum cooling system of any air and refilled. Ran up to temp gets hot when reving and when you stop it goes cold all the signs of head gasket. Rev it hard or drive it and it pressurises the system and empty it. Pulled cylinder head off today and it looks like its been blowing on the back water jackets ? The **** design it that you hang the head gasket on 2 dowels and nothing locates the cylinder head to the block Tried the trick of cutting heads of to old head bolts and locating it that way but theres still loads of movement that way...............

I've always just used two heads bolts with head cut off them, like you said, always worked for me.

Is it a brand new head? If not have you had it re-faced or pressure tested?

Yes pat its a brand new casing with valves etc. Going get Daz from allards have a look tomorrow second opinion By the way my sisters knows you small world
