I've spent the day productively removing the badges from the tailgate, fitted my new tax disk holder and plates. |

| i think you have fitted your splitr wrong mate,
the bottom is where your supposed have the boost coming in and the side is the the recirc part that goes into the intake to dump the boost back through,
looks good though
id recommend the silicone intake pipe it makes it boost alot harder |

| i thought so i was looking at it and thinking have i put mine on worng
how many clicks have you got yours set to as well as thats waht makes all the difference
mines on 20,
if you dont no what i mean
if you turn the top all the way anticlock wise till it stops then turn it till you fell the 1st click and thats 1 click
for standard 1.8ts you want about 15 but for remapped ones you want 15-25 i put mine on 20 and the blow off is nice so you can hear it and the boost picks up and holds well
also you mentioned that you are going to replace the tip with a forge one i wouldnt bother as if youy buy the larger silicone intake there is no need for the forge tip as its not used as the intake pipe goes straight to the turbo,
i got all my hoses from a place in new castle ill have get down to a meet let you have a look, |

| Erm as for the setting i dont know. Dont know if mirnes been mapped or not. Gonna have a little play 2moz. Wouldn't be using a Forge TIP. Theres some on ebay for £50 less than the forge ones. When you say newcastle do you mean our newcaslte or geordieland. |

| Right oh. Had a bit of mither with the leon this week. Had the vaccum hose that runs to the top of the DV pop off and put the engine management light on. So had BVR Automotive come out to sort that. Took it out for a spin and its surging under load. So my MAF might be dodgy. So standard DV back in and off the the garage it goes. |

| If the engine management light comes on like that just disconnect the battery and leave it for 5 minutes. Once reconnected it will clear the fault I have some proper maf cleaner if you want to have it dave as dont need it anymore. |

| I've bought a fault code reader. Lad at work has gone from GT TDI to a Toyota Avensis so its not needed any more, bargin at £15.
Cheers Paul. Few little niggles now that need sorting.
See what precious metals have to to this.
"Reset engine light (on due to pipe falling off DV). Road test with customer for surging fault - vehicle surges on acceleration. Suspect possible air mass meter faulty and req throttle clean and adapt, but would need further diagnosis to confirm" |

| I would clean the mass first. Is yours fly by wire throttle as if it is open the drivers door then the bonnet. Put the ignition on and leave the drivers door open. After about a minute it will perform a throttle re-alignment. Should hear a motor noise from the throttle body and when it stops tuen off the ignition. |

| Well used my little £15 code reader and gave me the fault code 4529 which according to gendans website database is "Connection turbocharger - throttle valve pressure hose" So i'm thinking theres a boost leak somewhere, but where i dont know. If anyone can shine any light on the subject please let me know. |
