hey guys my dad has a mk1 golf cabrio he is having problems with his fresh air blowers so i changed a fuse through the stages 1 and 2 are fine but then when he turns it to 3 it stops blowing air does anybody have any suggestions of what tis problem could be i think its a loose connection but itcould be something else and im just wondering if anybody knows

these units have a habit of just breaking... minght be worth checking the conections under the bonnet as this sometimes helps if you geive them a nudge...

but normally its a new blower....

chears matey i looked under the bonnet and nout looks supicious to me but i wasnt sure where to look for the blowers i dont know alot about electrics and connections etc (says the trainee mechanic lol) i dont know to much about waterpumpers but i want to learn both aspects :D

top part underneath the windscreen...

should be a plastic basket covering the blower

remove the two bolts holding this down

you'll see some wires at the front (3 I think) then some wires on the right hand side of it.

this whole unit is the blower which draws in cold air for inside the cab.

normally the wires on the right hand side are the ones you need to jiggle...

sometimes water corrodes them a little and they need a little rub down...

any problems gis a shout...

They have habit of just burning out! had to change mine twice cus of this !
