At the mo I'm looking for some serious contenders to PSI for engine transplants...

I've contacted Awesome in Manchester as well as G-werks...

it will be a TDi 110bhp or 130bhp with a 6 speed box.. bhp depends on prices just yet..

anyone know of anywhere that could carry out the transplant other than those mentioned?

Would be good with a 130PD, was going to do the jetta with a PD engine but havn't got the facilities at home at ther mo

deffo go for the 130pd man dont go for the 150 as have heard of problems with them about reliability

try dubunit in tamworth they are pretty good aswell lad who owns it is matt and knows his stuff aswell

midland vw aswell but never heard of anything theyve done

dont go with awesome, they charge well over the odds for anything, i should know, i used to work there.

but i'd definately go with the 130pd, i know PSI have experience doing this conversion and have done it well so personally, if i was paying anyone to do it it'd definately be PSI

Midland VW - used them myself and never hear bad things.

Also might be worth contacting Storm developments and some of other firms in back of PVW.

Can try up at SB Autos in Burslem a guy called Steve he isnt a vw specialist but he has done alot of engine swaps and a few 1.8t's

He has owned a fair few VW's also so he knows what hes doing.

Midland VW won't undertake the diesel transplant as they have too much on..

the 150pd have problems if you dont use the right oil they chew the cams up lol 130 is a good strong engine mate and will be sound in the caddy
