right
well
i bought a new rocker cover gasket the other day and set about fitting it.
I decided that id silicone around the rocker cover before putting the gasket in for extra sealing. Then after a while of driving it it started leaking even more, so i took the rocker cover off and the new gasket had warped and all the oil was seeping under it.

I have siliconed it again and put it back on until i get a new gasket to replace it but does anyone have any suggestions of what i could do? spoke to a mechanic who said call vw and try to source a genuine vw rocker cover gasket kit. as the one i bought was one from gsf.

help please, fed up of getting dirty looks from the neighbours because of a bloody piss patch of oil all the time!

I wouldn't use silicone dude... this might not be helping...

clean the surface and make sure you clamp down on the gasket level...
