Hi i was wondering if anyone can help me. I come to open my MK3 VW Golf yesterday and all 4 doors opened fine, however after about an hour the front passenger door was closed. We tried to reopen the door with no luck. The door is unlocked but can not be opened from inside or outside. Does anyone have any idea on how we can get the door open safely without breaking anything??

could be the metal wire that connects the handle to the locking mech has popped off?

It could be, but we cant get into the door to look because of the door being shut. Both the inside and the outside handles are slack so i do think something has come unconnected. Thanks.

unscrew all the srews and have a look around see what you can find id defo say its the wire from the handle to the mech has popped off
