Best tyres for a 18x8j wheel

Spent a few hours now looking at various tyres. Been looking at Falken, Toyo, Vredstien and a few others. Whats gonna be the best size to go for? 205/35/18, 205/40/18, 215/40/18 or 225/40/18?

All depends on how low you want to run dave.

Had no problems with 225/40/18 lowered a lot.

I know Buckers was running 215/35/18 on the Bora but used to hit the road with his subframe.

I wanted low and practical. Was a ball ache in the MK3 with people in the back used to catch all the time.

I've looked on mytyres.co.uk and blackcircles.com for some 215/40/18's, Falken FK452's are £86 each.

Edit: Found a pic. Looks like 215/40s will do the trick
