I want to get some kind of Alarm fitted but then at the same time don't want to shed out loads of money because they are easy to break into. Does anyone have any ideas of what kind and where I could get it done???

for Car alarms there are a few places i know in stoke but i you would have to ring for prices.

1) Ice Beat

2) The Ice House

Or what ever you do idiot criminals will always break into a car even with an alarm ( as my first car got broken into and that had an alarm and a wheel lock but they were looking for my Stereo Facia which later got stolen when someone broke it to the staff room where i was at)

Maybe its worth checking Autolok out and buying a something like a Autolok 2000 plus steering wheel lock. Ive got the Autolok Original - Gear stick and Handbrake lock

After market alarms are a bodge imo. I would never get one fitted to any of my cars.

The monkey alarm fitters just hack you loom to pieces, id stick with a decent steering lock.

I know it might sound silly but how does that differ from a normal steering lock?

Easy to cut your steering wheel to remove a steering lock or even change the steering wheel. Disklok prevents both and is thatcham cat3.
