Dont need a tent for camping as the boot is big enough.

Paint needs a bit of work to get marks out and some randon white over spray but it was reflected in the price

Keypad is for the in built hands free kit.

Found out the head unit takes 6 cd's so no need for a changer.

yeah its bloody quick for a big car 80mph in 2nd gear lol loads of space in side you could easy get 5 adults in with bags of space nice 30mm drop on bentley rims and your on a win all day! loads of toys and the price was a bargain

35mm to 40mm drop is enough for a set of 19" wheels.

Well the passat is now a couple of issues less lol.

Mr Warranty has stumped up 4 new coil packs and a ignition key code reader runs a lot smoother now and starts.

Fitted a set of 8 led matched pair can compatable sidelights.

Passenger side paint work cleaned up and waxed. Still think i might get it machine polished though.

More cleaning over the weekend.

Picked up today to get taken to vw for more warranty work

Looks like it's the immobiliser thats causing it to start then stall but only vw can do the work as they will have to re program both the keys to the new unit. Just got to wait and see what they find.

Picked up the Passat this morning. Now has a new steering column and new convenience module. All done under warranty thank F#@k as £768 for the parts and another £384 for labour and thats not from vw :affraid: . No more stalling after it's been started now.

Called in a favour and getting my windows tinted for free in a couple of weeks when i am on holiday.

Full set of vw mats ordered.

Suspension that was in stock in Holand is actualy made to order. No other springs companies stock Passat 3c springs apart from Eibach but they only lower 30mm. Looking into coilovers now though.

Induction kit ordered as engine being mk5 golf gti there are plenty of parts in stock. Hopefully get it this week now.

what induction kit you goin for carbonio??? or just a normal one?? coilovers will ruin the smooth ride 30mm will be sound with big rims mate

Have to go for the full kit as the engine cover is the airbox. Carbonio only do an inlet to the oem airbox.

ahhh what about a bmc like i had on the lupo?? look and sound awesome bit pricey though

Induction kit was a bit of a pig to fit as it's for a golf mk5 gti but a little bit of adjustment and it's in. Will get a better filter for it soon.

Got my JL amp and sub to put in out of the golf now.

Should be sorting out wheels this weekend and need to find out offsets.

Either going for 8.5x19 front and 9.5x19 rear or 8.5x20 all round depending on offsets i can get. Realy want a set with stainless dish's if i can.

Busy day on the passat today.

First job was to replace the standard diaphram dump valve with a new piston type.

Car goes so much better now as no longer leaking boost

Fitted climate control rings as the controls get a bit warn.


Reverse camera fitted and wires run plus number plate light wired in. All ready for new head unit now.


Did a bit of carbon wrapping on boot badge and mirrors.




Picked up wheels and for £350 with new tyres bargain just need to get them sorted as the polished parts on the spokes is going white.

They are 8.5x20 et 45 with new 225/35/20 tyres.

Tried them on and used a bit of tape on the front one to see what they are like if i painted the polished part black.






Not sure if to keep the polished or go black on the wheels. Looks like a 4x4 now with the wheels on though lol.

Also fitted a pair of VW individual badges off a pheaton on the front wings.

Looking at coilovers now as apex are saying it will be another month at least for the springs.

The 3m stuff is a lot better to work with than the cheap copy.

Coilovers ordered now and also ordered some matt black vinyl so i can wrap the wheels then paint them next year.

Got my new stereo but will need to find a place to put all the cables lol.


Reverse camera all working.


Canbus connected so shows info on dash and steering wheel controls work.


Ipod all working.


Just need to sort out the gps software and freeview antenna.

Fitted my front coilovers and what a **** they were to get on.

I have the number plate holder just waiting for my grille then i can transfer my new plate.

Fitted the Hide away number plate just have to wait until my grille turns up so i can transfer my private plate.
